It was Monday. The first day of school. Or, at least, the first day of the season. Yis and Nickels were just coming in from their last match of the season. As they walked in, there was a huge shouting and cheering. Both Yis and Nickels became excited. “Gonosuke-san! Yutaka-san!” There was Gonosuke, Tsuyoshi, and Kiyoshi all together. And standing next to them, Yis thought to himself, “I can’t let them find out about my secret.” Yis had found that there was a giant silver mine underneath the school and a path to the underground area. The boys from before the school year began knew that. But when the school year started, it was a secret only he knew. So, there was a small door that went down below the school. The door was used as a shortcut to get to school. It was quite difficult to find the path down to it. Most often, the door would be closed. Or, on the days it was open, guards would be stationed there. At that point, each day was the first day of school. The boys would look forward to that, seeing as it was a brand new year. They would report all of the equipment they had bought for the day. They would meet with their guidance counselor. And then, they would go down into the big mine. Yis had become friends with some of the students during the season. Kazuki was one of them. He had been an enemy of Yis’ during their High School days. But they became friends after their school finished. They often went down to the mine together. Meanwhile, the Tengen Mutsushiro fell during the fighting with the army of the demon king. It was like a living beast that attacked the castle. Its body was made of stone. And the strangest part was that it was completely silent. And so, the third day of school was today. Today, everything would have to go well. There was a new season. A new year. A new path to the mine. And all the boys would happily go down that path together.
