In Dark Souls II, if you kill a Guardian (if the enemy is marked red, rather than blue, on the minimap), it will indicate that there is a Dead Cell nearby. Is it still possible to attack the Dead Cell, or will the person killed by it turn blue, meaning the cell is defunct? A: Actually, dead cells don’t really do anything. The minimap marker is supposed to indicate whether or not you’re being attacked by a dead cell, which means the person will turn blue when they are attacked by it. If you’re the person’s soul and you’re not attacking them, they should not turn blue. It’s possible that the spirit of the dead cell will attack you if you attack its host after death, though I have never experienced this myself. I have never encountered a dead cell when I have been attacked by one of the ghosts in the game, so I am pretty sure that dead cell attacks don’t work the same way as regular attacks against a living person. Hunting comes in handy when you’re trying to evade something or find a hidden treasure. The Elden Ring is filled with traps that can only be activated if you’re close enough to them. When you run into these traps, you can draw your weapon to attack your enemy and perform different variations depending on what sort of trap you’re up against. Some can break, others can give you extra experience points, and some are just about telling you what you’ve been doing wrong. Once you’ve encountered every trap, you’ll have found the realm of Forgotten Secrets. Here, you’ll face off against enemies that possess the force of forgotten gods.
